Bentley The Leader in Nuclear
Pipe Stress Analysis
ADLPipe
Originally released in 1967, ADLPipe was the first
commercially available piping analysis program and preferred
solution by many of the world leaders in the nuclear
industry. In addition to extensive modeling and load
capabilities, ADLPipe provides a successful track record
backed by NRC Quality Assurance procedures in accordance
with the requirements of the nuclear industry. Piping
professionals around the world have come to rely on
ADLPipe for its accuracy and service from its support
team. Acquired by Bentley in November 2005, work is
already well advanced on integrating it with Bentleys
leading pipe stress product AutoPIPE.
Comprehensive analysis capability including:
- ASME NB 3600 Class 1, years from 1972
- ASME NC 3600 Class 2, years from 1972
- ASME ND 3600 Class 3, years from 1983
- ASME Class 1 and 2 mixed class analysis
- Multiple and Single Response Spectra analysis
- Force and displacement time history and harmonic analysis
AutoPIPE
Commercially available since 1986 in 55 countries,
with 29 international piping codes and full-featured
set of static, dynamic and special analysis features
makes AutoPIPE a leader in small to high-end pipe stress
analysis projects. AutoPIPE was originally developed
by Rebis and acquired by Bentley in 2002.
- Using a proven CAD-like graphical interface
with unique graphical object, point & click and
copy/paste technologies it provides the most productive
pipe stress program available. Major EPC companies say
"I can make modifications quickly and, thus, find
solutions in problem areas productively."
- Bentley a world leader in AEC software, interfaces to
all major 3D CAD models from AutoPLANT, PlantSPACE,
Intergraph PDS and Aveva PDMS.
- Powerful Excel-like spreadsheets to check, sort, print and make global changes
to the data
- 3D OpenGL rendering & smart component
graphics for realistic animation and visualization
- AutoPIPE's rigorous nuclear quality assurance program
is approved by NUPIC and has passed numerous independent
on-site audits to 10CFR50 App. B, ASME NQA-1, and ANSI
N45.2 standards.
Late 2007
Bentley now owns the most comprehensive nuclear pipe
stress applications. An integrated nuclear solution
to be released in late 2007, will combine the recognized
nuclear industry standard ADLPipe analysis engine and
the productive modeling environment of AutoPIPE.

Nuclear industry on the rise worldwide
Nuclear power plants get go-ahead
The go-ahead has been given
for a new wave of UK nuclear power stations.
Industry secretary Alistair Darling told MPs nuclear power needed
to be part of the mix of energy supply for the UK over
the next 40 years. The Conservatives say nuclear power
should only be a "last resort". The Liberal
Democrats accuse ministers of "surrendering"
to the nuclear lobby. Tony Blair says new nuclear power
stations will reduce future reliance on imports and
help tackle climate change. In a Commons statement on
the Energy Review, Mr. Darling said: "The government
has concluded that new nuclear power stations could
make a significant contribution to meeting our energy
policy goals.
"It would be for the private sector to initiate,
fund, construct and operate new nuclear plants and cover
the costs of decommissioning and their full share of
long term waste management costs.
